Tools used to make Scared Geometry
The following were Tools used to create the Scared Geometry on these pages.
Mitre Saw
Used to cut pipe to correct lengths, either plastic pipe or copper pipe.
Pillar Drill
Used to cut bolt holes in pipe (either plastic or copper) so that pipes can be bolted to vertex connectors.
Chisels
Used to remove excess plastic from 3D printed vertexes, especially the bolt holes.
N.B. I find you need small tipped chisels with a strong metal cutting part. I have found the cheap chisels from China are not usually suitable and will break easily.
Small Files
Used to tidy up bolt holes on the 3D printed vertexes.
Multi Tool
A Multi Tool that will allow you cut excess plastic (using the drill bits) from 3D printed Vertexes (such as a Dremel or something similar).
Deburring Tool
The Deburring Tool will allow you to remove the rough edges from the ends of cut copper pipe.
Tube Notcher
The Tube Notcher allows a copper pipe to be cut so that it that it can be fitted against another copper pipe at a specific angle.
This allows for the construction of Copper pipe vertexes.
Blow Torch
Used to solder the copper pipes together to create copper vertexes.
Bench Grinding Wheel
Used to tidy up soldered copper pipes that have been made into Vertexes.
Bench Polishing Wheel
Used to tidy up soldered copper pipes that have been made into Vertexes.
Googles
Used to protect your eyes from splinters of plastic and copper etc produced when working on the pipe etc.
