Iconic Terra Prana Sphere

Iconic Terra Prana Sphere

Other names for this Geometry

Cube Octahedron
Vector Equilibrium (as named by Buckminster Fuller)

Building a Iconic Terra Prana Sphere

You will need the following Connectors

  • 12 - Iconic Terra Prana Sphere Pipe Connector

You will need the following pipes

  • 24 lengths of equal size

N.B. I suggest you bolt the pipes to the vertexes when creating this geometry, as the geometry often came apart when being held together with friction between the pipes and vertexes.

Useful Maths

Determining the required length of side for a given height of a Iconic Terra Prana Sphere

For a given height of Iconic Terra Prana Sphere (when considering a Iconic Terra Prana Sphere standing on one of its square sides), the length of the side of the Iconic Terra Prana Sphere is found using the formula :-

Iconic Terra Prana Sphere Side Length = Square root of ( height2 / 2 )

N.B. when cutting pipe lengths, you will have to take into account the length the connectors add to the overall length of the sections of the Geometry i.e. have to deduct lengths connectors add to dimensions of the pipe lengths required.
