Building a Solar Sphere
To build a Solar Sphere.
You will need the following Connectors :-
- 20 - Solar Sphere Pipe Connectors
You will need the following pipes :-
- 30 lengths of pipe of equal length
The following video shows a Solar Sphere being constructed.
N.B. The Solar Sphere constructed in this video uses an older design of Solar Sphere Pipe Connector.
Useful Maths
For a given height of Solar Sphere, the length of the side of the Solar Sphere is found using the formula :-
Solar Sphere side length = Height / 2.227032728
N.B. when cutting pipe lengths, you will have to take into account the length the connectors add to the overall length of the sections of the Geometry i.e. have to deduct lengths connectors add to dimensions of the pipe lengths required.
